Our Prison Consultants
Rande Frantz
Rande Frantz is the newest member of the Jail Time Consulting team. Equipped with a degree in Sociology, she presents a very distinctive point of view to the clients of Jail Time Consulting. Although Rande has never been in federal prison she certainly has the credentials to offer a woman’s viewpoint to the entire incarceration process. Rande is the wife of a former federal prison inmate. She believes more than ever the old saying, “When a family member is incarcerated, the whole family is incarcerated.”
For the first time, a federal prison consulting firm offers the wives, husbands, and families of incarcerated spouses the opportunity to talk to someone who has been through it all, from the other side. She offers a totally different point of view—the family member left behind, on the outside. No one is fully prepared for what is about to happen, certainly not the wives and families of white-collar criminals. You realize that your husband is going to prison but you have no idea of the process involved, what to expect, and how to deal with the overall situation. You are experiencing fear, apprehension, and anxiety. How will your family go on? What about your children, your income, your personal property, and assets? How will you get along without your husband or significant other? You are facing an untenable situation in which you have absolutely no control. You don’t know what is true and what is false and worse yet, you don’t know where to go to get the truth. It is the fear of not knowing that is adding to your mounting fear and apprehension.
Rande and the Jail Time Family Support System provide real time answers to the family’s questions and solutions to the daily problems created by a spouse’s incarceration. The Family Support System was designed to eliminate as much worry and the accompanying frustrations as possible for both the inmate and his family. Rande provides the family with the knowledge, understanding, and resources to get everyone through this arduous time. She also is very knowledgeable in the operations of the BOP and assists inmates and families in various BOP programs.
Sometimes it just helps talking to someone who has already gone through the process.”
As Rande tried to prepare for her husband’s incarceration she was faced with a daunting task. Fortunately her husband had engaged the services of a former Prison Consultant, David Novak, a much respected Consultant. With David’s advice and Rande’s tenacity and determination, Rande and her family made it through their prison ordeal. David has retired from the field and now Rande meets with the wives and families of incarcerated men and provides answers to their many questions. Sometimes it just helps talking to someone who has already gone through the process.
Vast numbers of wives, sons, and daughters are left behind. Rande understands the anxiety these people face. She draws on her own experiences to provide clear concise answers as well as support to their many questions and concerns.
